Hello and welcome to EnglishMills.co.uk. The aim of this website is to document all the old mills before they are lost to history.

These lovely building have so much character and when you stand close or go in one of these old mills you can feel the resonance of its busy history.

Please have a look through our photo gallery there will always be new additions. New mills will be added as I have photographed them.

If you own an old mill then please get in contact with us so that we can come and document the building, also if you know of any mills that is soon

NEWS: The Cotton Story - Jims Story has been added to the Cotton Mill Memories Page. Its a short documentry about Jim Shelmerdine that worked his way up from office boy to general manager. He recieved a MBE for his services to the textile industry.
